My dad, Friday, Rolos and learning from Paula

click for larger pictureDad - well done on reaching your ¾ century. I particularly want to thank you for instilling in all your offspring a life-long love of learning. I still smile most Fridays (more than 40 years later) when I remember how excited we all got waiting for you to come home with new "intelligent tests" for us all to have a go at. It was fun and exciting and you managed to carefully imbue the excitement of knowledge in us without any thought of competition. Might have had something to do with the fact that we all got a packet of rolos, regardless of performance! Even now, I associate chocolate with learning and achievement - I suspect some researcher somewhere will prove your technique is the way forward!

Looking forward to your big day,
With lots of love,
Paula
