Maria, 2 weeks old I was born at home in Edinburgh at 9.59am on Friday 30 June 2000. I have been loving and giving ever since.
Although I arrived 10 days before my expected date, I was quite a chubby baby from the start, weighing in at 8lbs 10oz. Maria, 2 weeks old, eclipsing the Teletubbies
Do I look like a Maria? As is traditional, my mum and dad had no firm contenders for a name for their new child. However once I appeared with my stunning dark hair and Mediterrean good looks, I just had to be a Maria. I have an auntie and a (maternal) Granny called Marie, but that Granny's mum was called Maria Moran and her Granny was called Maria McLaughlan.
I am the third child in this family and have two lovely big brothers: Eoghan Kennedy Mulvenna (b. 22 Mar 1996) and Aidan Gilfillan Mulvenna (b. 19 Nov 1997). I have a middle name too, which is Alice. This comes from my dad's side of the family. His maternal Granny's maiden name is Mary Alice Mullan and her Granny was called Alice Mulgrew. My big brothers, Eoghan and Aidan, a couple of weeks after my arrival
There were 3 in the bed and the little one said... Already Eoghan and Aidan are keen to do a bit of baby-sitting.
My big brothers are really excited to have me as a sister. They are so gentle and kind, they pat my head and Aidan even licks me sometimes (because he thinks he is a dog). ...roll over
It's party time! I've listened to the racket these two boys have made for nine months already so it's good to be able to join them. :-)
