As I was a-walking
In the North of Belfast
I came to a-talking
With a girl from Belfast

With me too-roodle-oh
And me too-roodle-aye-ray
With me too-roodle-oh
And me too-roodle-oh

Well, she took my hand
She held it right tightly
And together we ran
And the sun it shone bright.

Chorus

Well we came to a castle
Where she cast an eye round
And she kissed me right sweetly
And we fell to the ground.

Chorus

She took me higher
Then we climbed through the trees.
Our hearts were on fire,
Though our minds were at ease.

Chorus

On the Nose of Napoleon
We cast an eye round
And the sun it was shinely
Over sweet Belfast town.
