Speak my mind

I'm losing myself, I can't find my mind,
I can't seem to talk anymore.
There's things inside me that I just cannot say
And it's tearing me up, it's tearing me up.

You talk of my home as a troubled land
With guns and bombs and abbreviations.
My home is a troubled land,
Oh but please, please, give us a chance.

I talk of my home as a paradise
With smiles and happiness for miles and miles.
I want to show you this paradise
But nobody wants to know.

I think of you as my closest friend,
Someone who should have an ear to lend.
But you make me so frightened to speak my mind
And empty inside, so empty inside.

It seems like my words are just sprinting away
Leaving me with little, so little to say.
I want to stop feeling this way,
So empty inside, I'm empty inside.
