Baptisms for 2 Mary McGUIGANs in the right time period exist in the
Dungiven parish records. The two sets of parents are James McGUIGAN and Sally
McCLOSKEY residing at Dungiven and William McGUIGAN and Mary FEENY residing at
Legavannon. The former has a more likely date (1827 compared to 1832)
matching the age of Mrs Mary Mullan at death (44 in 1872), but the latter
has a more likely location Legavannon, which is nearer to Moneyguigy where
most of Michael McGUIGAN's children were born. No documentation has yet been
found showing that Mary and Michael were brothers, but the assumption is made
because of the relationship felt by Mary Alice MULLAN and Kathleen McGUIGAN.
