According to Anthony Mulvenna, Martha went to the USA. The school register
(PRONI SCH 36/1/2) tells us that Martha entered Feystown school on 9 April
1894 when she was 4 years old.

Chicago] My Dear Father, I write you this to let you [know] we are all well,
also that I want a great obligment of you and I hope that you will give it.
The man who owns this house has died and his wife wants to sell it, as she
will not be able to hold it any longer now that she has no support. She says
she will give it to us very cheap and we won't have to move again. She says
she can do with a certain amount of the money and the rest can be paid by
instalments. But the truth is, we haven't as much money as she would require,
so if you could lend me 100 pounds for a few months I could make it pay, as
there is two more flats attached to it, with tennents living in them as well
as us, and I could pay you back with interest. It is a great chance of making
money and I have nobody else to turn to. You'll think I want the money and
that I'll never pay it back, but that is not true, if I didn't see my way of
paying it I would not ask you for it. This is all now hoping this finds you
in the best of health. From your loving daughter, Martha.
