According to Anthony Mulvenna, Daniel was reared at Ault (Gowkstown) with
Charles Gibson, who died 3 Feb 1876 aged 80 years.

Will of Daniel MULVENNA. Made 9 Dec 1927. Probate 15 August 1929. I Daniel
MULVENNA of Gowkstown Glenarm in the county of Antrim farmer hereby revoke
all wills, codicils and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me
and declare this to be my last will which I make this 9th day of December
1927. I bequeath to my wife Catherine MULVENNA her support maintenance
clothing lodging and keeping and in case of sickness the necessary nursing
medicine and medical attendance in the dwelling house on my farm in Gowkstown
during her life or in lieu thereof in case my wife shall elect to live
elsewhere than on said farm I bequeath her an annuity of twenty six pounds a
year payable quarterly the first payment to be made at the end of three months
from the time she shall cease to reside on said farm. Having already given
what I think reasonable to my daughters Rosena and Martha I do not leave them
anything by my will. I bequeath to my daughters Mary GIBSON and Maggie
McGAVOCK the sum of fifty pounds each and to my daughter Lizzie and my son
Charles the sum of one hundred pounds each. And subject to the support and
maintenance of my wife on the annuity in lieu thereof and to the foregoing
legacies and any debts I may owe and my funeral and testamentary expenses I
devise and bequeath my farms of land and premises situate in Gowkstown,
Feystown and Deerpark and all my stock crop farming implements, household
furniture, money and securities for money, goods chattels and effects and
everything of whatsoever nature and kind I may die seised possessed or
entitled to to my son John for his own use absolutely. I appoint my son John
and James DRUMMOND of Larne Law Clerk executors of this my will. As witness
