Jack quoted his birth date as 10 Nov 1905, while his granddaughter Bridin
thought it was in October. The birth of a John Charles Mulvany is registered
to Arthur Mulvany and Mary Mulvany formerly McVeigh on 24 Apr 1902. Mary has
signed her name "Mulvany". It was reported at Jack's funeral that he was
forced to move from Glengormley to Dundalk around 1925 by sectarian
intimidation, possibly an "official Stormont reprisal". This would explain
[203] the lack of birth registrations for Sean and possibly Malachi.
