Great auntie Daisy said: I knew I had Irish connections because uncle Logan
said she was as Irish as O'Donoghue's donkey. She replied I'm not Irish, I'm
Scottish. Her mother on hearing this said she wasn't to go back there. Her
father was a Hearts supporter and her mum used to get upset at Grandad's
orange stuff. Her dad was quiet and didn't say much. She doesn't know where
grandad got it from (mum didn't understand why he supported a team from the

west.) Mum was called Meg. Auntie Daisy was told she got her name from the
Italian lady who lived over a shop. Said she looked like a wee daisy. Also
told she took the name from a wee girl called daisy that she played with.
Auntie Logan was Isabella Brown (sister of Margaret). She married a Mr Logan.
Uncle Erch was Archibald Brown (brother of Margaret). Janet Horsburgh Brown
lived with Erch round corner from Eyre Place. Moved from Bonnyrigg when Bella
went and married a man she didn't like (Logan). Daisy and Bella firm friends
(Greta 10 years younger than Daisy). Her mother very strict - Bella bought
her things. Margaret Mossman Brown had a brother Jimmy who had a daughter
called Grace.
